Pan's Shibari

In Pan's Shibari impostors have tied up the real Pan. Thematically the series deals with core issues in rock music. There is a brief reference to chasing the dragon into captivity. This alludes to addiction in music. There are also references to the platform and the distance that fame and public notoriety create. The elevated ego that leads to disconnection with self and family. Jargon slayer breaks the associated idolatry into pieces with epiphanies. Liberating the mythological pan to his historical place.

Polly Under False Pretence

There are people who suffer delusions of grandeur. In this series Jargon slayer puts to bed the spirit behind musical Idolatry. Music is beautiful and people who create music are remarkable, Jargon slayers' angel has no issue with this process. Jargon slayer has come to liberate the masquerading parrots that didn't create music. These cunning puppets elevate themselves personally with grandiose statements of self-importance. Reformed into the body of Pinocchio building a web of illusion. Your strings are cut, you still play a role but that role needs to be honestly approached rather than with bluff and ego. You punters who buy into this illusion take the blinkers off they step off the platform and go home to sleep just like you. Why are they truly considered gods in your eyes?

Jargon Slayer's Solace

The first painting in the newest series (Fractured Heart 2009) is the opening scene in a deeper look into the necessity of healing for all. In making stands against the ideologies Jargon Slayer is affected. In this epoch there are no enemies on the horizon. Vested in the body of a male form for this new series he will undertake a transformation with the angels help. There is healing in his wings. Transported to a temple from the city streets the slayer will be encouraged and rebuilt to allow more functional capacity. The background is composed of cityscapes from the Valley / Spring Hill end of the city close to the artists home. The Angels are adapted from tombstone angels at cemeteries in Brisbane and Melbourne.

The Dawn of Jargon Slayer

The Dawn of Jargon Slayer was exhibited at Fatboys and Rics cafe on the Brunswick Street mall Fortitude Valley in January and feb of 2010, and was first exhibited in Blank space gallery in Surry Hills as a solo exhibition for a week in july 2009. She successfully takes on her first ideology in five scenes. The first ideology to fall under her deft hand is sensationalistic media journalism. While doing this there is an extra scene where she also slays division which the product of sensationalism. We also witness the arrival of her accomplice, the reincarnated tombstone angel. This is only the beginning.

Jargon Slayer from the Ether

Jargon Slayer came about as a result of watching efficient people work to solve problems in various redtape ladened enviroments. For the artist she is used to challenge effectively alot of core attitudes and beliefs that seperate people. There is reliance on text to bring opposites and differences into the open for the purpose of moving away from slogans and untested ideologies that are divisive. She is used as a tool against the unsympathetic elements in society. The irony is that the approach itself is quite intense and has elements of the femme fatal. In furure Jargon slayer might loose the shell of her female form and move into spirit or inhabit a different concrete form possibly not human.
